S Type jag automatic 1999. Tried to start the car but key wont turn. Anyone know what problem might be.

Don't have an "S", but if it's like other Ford's, you need to step on the brake pedal. If not, check/turn steering wheel, and make sure it's in "park".

Try shifting the gears, the column may be hung up due to not quite being in park when the key was removed.

pull on the steering wheel til the lock loosens a little...
