XJ8 water pump replacement - torque etc.

Hi all,

I need to replace the water pump on my XJ8. I had the local Jag dealer do the job on my last car, as that was under a warranty at the time (though ISTR the bill would have been around £400). Now I'm contemplating either doing this one myself or sending it in to a local specialist.

I've heard that it is an easy job, but it isn't mentioned in the JTIS CD (unless I've missed it...). Bits around it are covered, such as removing/replacing the accessory drive belt.

Is it really a straightforward job (drain the system, remove the belt, unbolt it and then do the same again in reverse)? Also, does anyone know the torque settings for the bolts on it?

Thanks,

Matt
