1998 Jeep Chereokee, 4cilinder

After driving more than a few miles or over 50 miles, upon exiting the vehicle there is a noticible smell of burning rubber. Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this? Help.....

Does your 98 have the aluminum heat shield over the catalic converter attached to the body? My 96 didn't but my 99 does. If not you may want to get one. (not the shield on the converter it's self)

Power steering fluid spraying through the sensor onto something hot?

Always smells quite nasty when it's burning :(
