95 GC wipers stuck

Hi,

During the snow the other day, my wipers were frozen in the park position. Without realizing, I left the switch on low. After a little while the wipers broke free, did half a cycle and stopped again. I thought they re-froze at the mid-point, but a little push on each arm showed neither arm was actually frozen. I give them a little harder push at which point they started working. Now they won't stop running on low

Help!!!!

Any thought as to whether it's the switch, the control module or the park switch?

Thanks

I would guess that you need a new wiper switch which is the whole turn signal arm. Mine went the same way on my '95 ZJ...I was too lazy to wipe the snow off the windshield and just turned the wipers on but the snow was just to wet and heavy...my wipers no longer park themselves and have to be shut off manually as well as I lost my intermitent wiper.

Good luck!

Thanks for your feedback

Does anyone have a pinout and make/break contact info for this switch? I pulled the switch out and according to the Haynes manual, it checked OK, but wire color was different which leads me to believe the book might not be entirely accurate.

I also pulled the wiper motor / tranny assy to check the park switch, which again appeared OK, but same problem. It didn't match the book exactly.

Also does anyuone know where the variable speed wiper module is located?

Behind the driver's kickpanel on my '93.
