95 XJ inside door handle

First really really cold morning here in RI I had some trouble with my electric door locks. Meh, I kinda expect that. What I didn't expect was the *spring* *clatter-clatter-clatter* inside my driver's side door when I pulled the door handle. The handle still works, but the return spring has broken and the handle flops loosely instead of being retained against the door.

Is this an easy (for values of "easy" that involve popping off the inner door panel) fix? Is the spring a difficult to find item or a Help! rack item?

With the increasing amount of plastic fiddly bits in modern autos I'd expect the spring didn't break but the mounting point that holds it to the handle did. :( The ZJ has similar issues with the fiddly plastic clips.

I'd carefully pop the door panel off (watch the edges they are damn sharp!) then take a look. Thing is unless you have a garage or some where to get it warm you stand a chance of breaking the pannel.

I'd put up with it till warmer weather.

The whole thing is an assembly. fleabay has some or you might be able to find it at CPD.
