Drum brake leak

My 93yj with 35c rear axle and drum brake, has a leak comming from somewhere inside the brake assembly, it's even leaking out of the little rubber plug where you can adjust the leak. Come to think of it, I'm not sure if it's gear fluid or brake fluid? If it's brake fluid, what part is blown? If it's axle fluid I'd assume it's a seal, maybe a bearing problem.. Nick

Do NOT drive the vehicle until you check the brake fluid!

If the brake fluid is down, you have a wheel cylinder leak that can fast turn into a total brake failure.

On older vehicles, when one reservoir goes empty of brake fluid, the master cylinder can pop the seal inside it easily and allow all the fluid to blow out.

This is pretty common to see a master blown after one reservoir goes empty.
