Got a new Cherokee

So my wife was without a Jeep for a year and she wanted another. The Olds just didn't cut it getting back into the camping spots or on some of the rural roads we travel on and I was driving the CJ7 all the time so we got her a 2000 Cherokee Sport.

It is in nice shape, a 4 door auto with the towing package I was told. It also has the large gas tank and a full sized matched spare.

Being a Jeep, it has it's quirks... Maybe some of you have some ideas.

The passenger's window locks all only stay unlocked if/while I tap the drivers door handle so I figure there is a bad connection in there. How do I get the switch out of the drivers side door to get at the wires?

The heater fan doesn't work on 3 so I figure the resistor pack has issues. Still down in the passenger footwell I would guess?

Neither washer works and the fender shows signs it was off very recently with some lower front corner damage so I am hoping someone just forgot to plug the motor back in. It holds fluid ok. Is there a fuse or relay for that? I have no manual yet.

It will need new rubber before winter and my wife was wondering how tall a tire she can put on it, she likes an aggressive tire and had BFG AT's on her last Cherokee.

Thanks all,

Mike

Well x 3.

How's the Troll-Killing working out for ya, Jabba The Butt?

Not very, from the looks of things.

Ha!

Goodness! Whats happened??? The all knowing Mike has questions???? =) Sheesh... we usually ask you this sort of stuff. LOL.

Good job on getting her back into a Jeep. She will love it come winter. I suspect you will too once you get used to it. I think that one of the stupidest things Jeep did was nix the Cherokee. I love them, wish I had the funds for yet another rig and I would get one.

Glad to hear you are keeping busy...!

Yup, keeping busy, we have relocated to the east coast and are looking around at properties.

We are still in winter, it is snowing and freezing rain out right now. The 4x4 has already been needed a few times, it works very well even with those stock GSA's on it.

I don't mind 'not' needing a kidney belt on these frost heaved roads either...

So that's why we haven't seen much from you lately! Sounds like you're getting around a bit better these days

I still have to be careful how I move, but physiotherapy worked/works well. Managed to stuff a new frame under the CJ7 this January with all new lines and wiring just before we moved. Only had a tent to work under at -25C too, sure coulda used Jenn shop or something like it. LOL. Air tools froze up, even had to put the ratchets on a propane heater so they would click...

Still haven't found a place yet?

Goodness, ya'll are taking as long to find yours as we did when we moved out here!

We have one half acre building lot in s small subdivision so far, about

3 minutes from the ocean, but are looking for the 'right' one to maybe work from. We aren't in a big hurry and have checked out tons of places. Put over 6000 km on the CJ7 and a few tank fulls so far on the Cherokee out looking. More to see...

Hay Mike. If she wants new rubber go with a 31 . I think its Sky jacker who makes a 3" lift that will fit 31. And the lift is $130 but does not come with shocks. Going to do the same lift on my GC this summer.

Not fat.

Not a troll.

NEVER been a loser in any way.

I hate nobody, and hate very few things.

And equating Cooyon with the USA is a direct insult to the USA.

Now go play with yourself.
