Had zj AC service, Now my cabin's flooding

I had my AC in my '96 GC Laredo serviced several months ago (new evaporator, lines etc, $1700 worth of work). I've been noticing a fair amount of water mysteriously collecting on the passenger side of the car. It eventually got really bad so yesterday I removed the front passenger side seat, pulled up the carpet and discovered the whole passenger side of the car was flooded (the padding under the carpet was soaked).

It took me the better part of the morning to figure it out but I finally discovered the AC evaporator seems to be dumping huge quantities of condensation into the cabin of the GC. This wasn't happening before the AC was serviced so it seems that the repairs weren't done correctly.

I'll be stopping by the repair shop on Tuesday to discuss this with the guy who did the work but I was hoping that someone on this group could suggest what might have been done incorrectly to cause the flooding. I don't know enough about auto AC to guess what the problem might be.

They didn't hook the condensation drain hose back up or it got plugged when they put the unit back together.

There is a drain line somewhere that is plugged up. Either the line is plugged up or just not connected. Either way they should have made sure the line was clear or attached with that much work.

Let us know what happens.

Part of the HVAC box hangs down into the passenger side footwell on the firewall, and drains the water out through a hole through the firewall. It's clogged up. Some people have drilled through this protrusion from inside the cabin to easily clear the clog and then seal it back up with epoxy. Very common issue.
