High-centered and Shifting Issue

I got my Rubicon high centered the other day. While in that predicament I was having trouble shifting between 1st and reverse, particularly getting her into 1st. It was like the gear shift was hitting part of the console and my transmission had been pushed UP or something.

Anybody ever have that happen? Why the trouble shifting? Everything seems fine now, but should I look for any possible trouble caused by this? Do I ask to many questions? Who am I? Where Am I going? Why am I here? :-)

Thanks for any suggestions/comments.

Something was pushing up or on your tranny or driveshaft or oil pan and that knocked the shifter alignment off.

I have had my CJ twisted up bad enough it isn't shifting 'out' of reverse or 1st, let alone into something else....

I have also had our Cherokee twisted up enough to cause a no shift too.

Not getting reverse is a problem, but you can use 2nd or 3rd to go forward, sometimes even better than 1st because it isn't as likely to spin the tires.
