lift questions?

Well, driving on the street with no sway bar is illegal in most places because it is a major safety part of the suspension. If you get in an accident and they inspect the vehicle, you can be denied insurance coverage for 'intentionally' disabling the safety features of the suspension and at least up here in Ontario Canada be charged automatically as the 'at fault' driver in any accident.

I was told by the police and insurance that that could mean the difference between an 'accident' and vehicular homicide if the accident is bad enough to kill someone.

Modified vehicles are far more likely to get inspected after an accident than regular vehicles.

The only reason they didn't hook up all the parts is because the parts need to be modified so they cost money to do. Either for the brackets to relocate the track bars or the disconnects for the sway bar links.

Some folks disconnect the sway bar for off road use, but it needs to be on for the street.

This would lead me to suspect 'every' part of the work that was done....

Now you know what "professionally done" means, exactly nothing.

Sway bars will interfere with off road operation. Track bar is necessary for safety. Need for drop pitman depends on lift height. Without it you may get bump steer. Shackle lifts are frowned upon, because they change the pinion shaft angle, and can lead to driveline vibrations. Any shackle lift should at least be heavy duty shackles, and hopefully one piece welded together, so it looks a little like the capital letter "H".

I would believe the shop is also lacking in mechanical skills from the sounds of the results.

Putting 6" shackles in is total insanity.
