passed ontario canada emissions

well my 89 yj passed first test the facility screwed cause they input the wrong engine size. today was my free redo but with the info I got from the first miss info test I knew what I needed to get a pass. I bought an egr 80$ cdn. and the last available evap canister from Chrysler

111$ cdn. installed them on w/e and tuned the carb. and passed this morning. garage was disappointed that they didn't get my money sweat part they only got 37$ cdn of mine. lol I love it. well I'm a happy jeeper. now if the rain would stop I can do my tub liner. cheers to all that helped with info for me.

I thought you were getting a free redo because the idiots at CT couldn't tell the difference between a 258 and a 4.0?? why the $37 cost?

Glad it passed.. now you can "rent" out that last canister to others who need it, maybe pay for some mods or gas :)

They tried 4 tests on my Cherokee at the $tealer to finally get the extortion fee instead when their computer refused to take my pay off because my vehicle was under recall.

I raised holy hell about it because the main reason I brought it to the $tealer was to check for things just like that so they gave me back all the retest money when it passed with the free new O2 sensor.

I still had to pay for one test though, the first one like the OP. Even if it wasn't valid, he still has to pay for one 'real' test before the $17.00 retest fee kicks in.

ya I paid that $37 when they made the first mistake (sorry if I was unclear...I was in shock that I passed). on the first test when they thought it was a 4.0L free redo as a 4.2L

Thank you Mike Now I will do the nutter as soon as I can get time in the shop for timing it.... maybe I should just do it by ear as that's how I did my emissions setup.

You should read your inspection report a little better. They are 'supposed' to check all the stuff listed there.....
