Question - Grand Cherokee Rear Wiper Repair

I've got 2004 Grand Cherokee Laredo and the small black plastic "clip" that attaches near the center of the rear wiper arm has broken off. (The kid from the car wash snagged it with the towel when he was drying it. Yeah, I know....) The wiper arm itself is fine.

When the wiper is in the resting position (off), this "clip" has a flange-like edge that seats inside what I call a back-stop attached to the tailgate. This back-stop prevents the wiper arm from being forced beyond it's normal range of motion, which is approximately the 3 o'clock position when the wiper is "off". It also positions the wiper arm slightly away from the window, so the wiper can sweep without being snagged where the glass meets the tailgate. Without the clip, the wiper blade snags where the glass meets the tailgate. Once it's beyond that point, the wiper functions normally.

Anyway, Jeep does carry this part. Don't know the exact name, but it's $12. I thought I might need a whole new wiper arm assembly, but not so. I asked a mechanic at the Jeep garage, and he wasn't sure how it would go on.... as he hasn't replaced a clip before.

Question-- how do I attach this new clip to the arm? Do I need to remove the wiper arm? Or does the clip just slide into the wiper's arm somehow?

Assistance please.....

Jim
