bugger. Why have I never got 1500 notes when I want 'em?

's even got a NATO hitch for towing me big trailer.

Worth taking a small bank loan I reckon - seems a VERY tidy vehicle for that price.

On the front and back - that's 60 odd quids worth alone. Go on Austin, I'd be delighted to see you in our exclusive little camp :-)

if as described i'd say this is a steal...

I bet she'd love it really :-)

To be honest, a vehicle like this for 1500 notes is fairly rare. I was offer nearly twice what I'd paid for my GS a couple of months ago. Sound investment and good fun.

I'm on the lookout for an original condition Vampire and fully expect to pay upwards of 8,000 quid for a good example. If I didn't already have a GS, I'd be heading down to Staffs tomorrow morning...

Oh I don't know...the 101 is shorter in the bodywork department so should make some extra space if you swap the rangie ;-)

If you can find someone to give me £800 for the 109 I've just bought (which is what I paid for it) I'll pick you up on the way past.

Rear crossmembers are an easy fix. My method took about six hours and involved very little work at all... Warren hates my method though...

Well if you come back via the M6 gi'me a call and I'll put the kettle on :-)

Only because if I were to tag along it would get expensive and painful...besides Morphs not ready for sleeping in just yet.

I'd think you'd get that quite easily by just advertising it wouldn't you? Even if not, it's good to keep it as a spare for Mandy...

Indeed... He was 'round earlier, escaping from my GS :-)

MOT on Monday, urgh...

It measures 14ft by 6ft (excluding mirrors cuz they pass over cars and our gateposts) by 7ft something high. If it does hit anything it'll probably go through it anyway!

The heater is popping fuses and theres no working lights at the moment. Something to do with it standing for 4 years I guess.

I've had it for ten years and compared to `modern' cars I can live with that kind of depreciation. Time for someone else to enjoy it.

I was thinking about offering Tim a backie down on the Harley...

I'd have thought that coming to grab you to go take a peek was essential. Mrs D would fully understand, she knows you have an eye for such things, developed and time served experience and that you're simply helping out a chum...

I can lend you a tent.

Don't suppose you want a 109 in p/x? :-)

Or perhaps an A-Class Merc?.....

No, it measures 170.5inches by 72.5inches (14'2.5" x 6'0.5") - Charlotte assures me that this is important, can't understand why.

This is not really too much of a concern. The GS uses a fairly basic Landie wiring setup (the fuse box is the same). There's very little on the GS to worry about in terms of electrics - UNLIKE the Ambi body.

It won't help. Are there any flatties on the tyres from standing, or have you moved it every now and then to prevent this? The other thing that may have seriously suffered from standing is the brakes. Have you tested these?

Nonetheless, still a good buy IMO - one does generally expect to do some work on a ~30 year old motor which has been stood :-)

Indeed. Who are you, by the way? and what's the Chassis Number? (feel free to tell me this via email if you'd prefer).

Not unless they're worth about £8500 and you want a straight swap ;)

The measurements discrepancy must be a woman's thing, as you say ;)

Heater motor probably needs a squirt of WD40 and a twiddle.

The tyres haven't been inflated for the last 4 years and probably don't need it. A good run will sort out any flat spots. It has been started and moved now and again but always goes back in the same place i.e. up the drive and back down again. It will roll backwards as the drive slopes so I'm thinking the brakes aren't siezed on and the handbrake holds it on the slope and releases.

Will email chassis number in a mo.

yeah... but to justify it I'd have to get rid of the 110 and make the 101 into a reliable minibus-equivalent, and then the buggers'd probably not insure it - the current insurance is with NFU and has 25% loading for sdoing the school work, but a lot of insurers won't do that, and there's no way I can afford full hire and reward insurance, which is ridiculously expensive.
