300Tdi ES Air Con Compressor Clutch Relay

Oracles,

The hottest day of the year so far is not the day to have an aircon fault!

System as working fine on Friday. System freshly charged with coolant, switch illuminated but no drop in engine revs when the Compressor Clutch should engage.

All belts tight, no nasty noises.

Checked volts on the compressor clutch supply line - 0V between pins when dashboard '*' switch is closed - waited a couple of minutes to see if anything changed - no change.

I suspect that the Compressor Clutch relay is the next link up the chain, unfortunately I have no idea where it is.

I have RAVE, but only for a DII, so the fuse and relay layouts are all different.

Could any of you enlighten me as to where to start looking for the Compressor Clutch relay?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Best regards,

Tim

I've got a RAVE for DI, provided it's 95-on and not an early one. I've got a paper manual for those, in a silver folder.

Might also be the A/C fuse. Mine is in the block behind the battery in the engine compartment, with the fusible links. 20A IMS.
