All it would take is 8,813 of us...

...to chip in our two-penneth worth, and we could buy Nikki a new radiator...

We'd have a penny left over, in case anyone needed to spend one ;-)

Well it's very nice of you both, but after consultation with a gentleman at the local scrapyard, a discussion concerning removal and how to repair the damaged area - about 2cm x 3cm, the purchase of a quality gas soldering iron with various attachments, courtesy of Maplins Leicester, the offending area has been repaired, filled with water whilst held in the vice on Bruces' workbench, overnight with no leaks, fitted back into the car, but not started. Bruce is convinced that it I must have driven it on fumes when I got it home after the leak as it is totally out of petrol and refuses to start. So tomorrow is the test day.

If it works, can I have the spare penny? ;-)

I always carry some 2p pieces and a tube of chemical metal for such repairs. Ever since my header tank on my Wrecker cracked in Liecester. (Something to do with me kneeling on it to change a burst heater hose at the back of the block)

I did a great little repair (if I say so myself) on a rebreather issue using an Icelandic .10 kroner coin and some gaffa tape. Which reminds me...

Took it for a run over to Market Harborough to visit a friend from school and there are no leaks.

Result!

Just as well really, as we were about 8,811 people short of the original target... tight lot! :-)
