anti roll bar required ??

Dear all,

I am rebuilding a 1985 defender 90" wheelbase. It is not equipped with a anti roll bar is it wise to install one ??

And what is the proper position for the bracket on the chassis.

Thanks,

Jerry

Depends what you plan on using it for. Most Landrover 90s and Defender 90s (Defender name was not used until the Discovery appeared in 1989) have not had anti-roll bars and this gives the best off road performance as it allows maximum axle articulation. How necessary it is on-road depends on how you use it and what suspension bushes you use. JD

If you hammer around on-road wou'll get a bit of body roll without it. shouldn't be too bad on a 90 though. Classic RRs and discos roll like a bastard without...
