Battery clamp in 110 CSW

Battery on Snowy Kerrching is under the passenger seat (1990 TD). I'd imagine that there should be a clamp in there but there is nothing obvious. Any kind soul send me a piccy please as to what I should be looing at.

Also I'm keen to add a second battery , I may be able to squeeze in another in the box, any one been there and done that?

Second battery would be for ancillaries, Fridge etc etc when touring.

Cant send a pic as i have bucket seats fitted. And its a pig to get at. But at the bottom of the battery tray you should find 2 small holes at either end. There should be 2 rods with a curve at the bottom and threaded at the top. The curvey bits fit into the holes and the threaded tops slot onto a piece of angle iron which clamps to the edge of the battery to hold in place.

You wouldn't have enough room for two big sized battery's,Optima size is the way to go.

I have the same engine,And in my experience you cant beat the optima. I bought the red top for cold cranking power and to run a winch and spots.Never had a flat battery. HTH.

Cheers , I will investigate further tomorrow. The battery tray is well waxoiled so the holes may have been covered. The battery clamp you describe is available at Helfruads so I'll take a peek at em as well. :-)

should be available anywhere!

i dont know if the 90/110 chassis is the same as the series one, but on the series one if you have the extra military tank outrigger you can fit a level shelf between that and the outrigger infront of it which is plenty big enough for 2 batteries.

It should be an "angle strip" or frame and 2 J-bolts - nothing fancy.
