Cause of long term damp problem in house finally discovered!

I know it's nothing to do with motors but I just wanted to share this with you. My house has had damp walls for a many years but it wasn't coming from the ground and no one could work it out and it was put down to condensation. My neighbours with same houses not having a problem. Then one day I came home to find a small drip from the ceiling which I eventually tracked down to my immersion tank. I put a large saucer inder it to check the leak. Basically it had been leaking over the years up to 2 litres a day at which point the floorboards couldn't carry it away fast enough for it to go un noticed! Hooray - no more streaming windows every morning. You could do worse thatn check your own!

It maybe worth getting your insurance co. to check for long term damage

The house next to my dads has had to be stripped internaly for a simlar problem, they have had to move out for months so the damage could be repaired

good luck
