To change the front discs (solid, not vented) on a 300 Discovery is it necessary to remove the brake lines and thus have to bleed, or can it be done by moving the caliper aside with the lines in situ?

Hi Tim, how's things?
Most people just move the caliper aside and tie it off with a piece of wire so that it is out of the way, but supported by the wire and not the brake lines.
Cheers

move the caliper and tie it to the spring, be sure it's weight is on the string and not on the brake line.

Tim Hobbs vaguely muttered something like ...
Nope ..
Yup ... ;) Obviously, be careful and don't let the brake lines take the weight or develop too tight a kink .. ;)
