I think they manage OK without portals but they'd be even better with it, although I reckon CoG would be totally screwed as they can't increase track width any more to compensate.

There are new Pinzgauers out now, just announced in the last few days, sadly they're bigger than mine, personally mine's just about the right size, just a bit longer than a Defender 110 and about the same height. Mind you they're not that much larger and can now carry just under a 4 tonne payload!
