FA: Motorcycle Trailer.

FA, Bike Trailer on ebay item No 140155728293

Yes, I know the start and BIN price is a bit steep, but icba to follow up all those begging letters for a reserve or 'offer' price and BIN.

If anyone on the newsgroups wants it £175, OVNO, which I think is fair.

So do I. Your BIN of =A3350 on the auction page is taking the piss, mind. Brand new two-three bike trailers are about =A3400, and for that you'll get lights and everything.

I know ... I 've got fed up of people emailing asking me 'what I'll take' for _anything_ I've put on ebay, so yup, it's taking the piss. A 'real' BIN would have been £225/£250 I think. ... ;)

But if you put three bikes on it,(unless they were less than 166Kgs each) it would be ileagal, it has no brakes

I, for one, wouldn't want to ride a 166Kg *trials* bike.

Do you have a link to verify that? And anyway, so what?

My auction says it's for a trailer to carry three Trials Bikes, most of which weigh less than 100 kgs each, indeed my old Beamish RL 250 only weighed 91.3 kgs dry weight and that was like a large elephant on steroids compared to recent gear.

Besides which, once it's gone the legality and responsibility for what's carried on it isn't mine.

PS, top-posting and poor spelling don't add weight to stupid attempts at nit-picking arguments.

Well, of course it is. If somebody pulls the auction they don't get their final value fees, do they?

Well, all's sorted. He wants the goods - he's bought stuff from me before. Turns out he mistakenly bid £3500 instead of £35.00 and someone else bid £75 at the last minute, and so he got trumped by two quid.

I pointed out that he wouldn't have to pay £3500 unless someone else had made the same mistake and bid £3498.

Which would have been fun to see....

My dream is two people making this mistake, and both using sniping software.

hehe. In reality, though, I doubt it'd be possible to take advantage of it.
