...can this be done?
I've already fitted a pair of Headlights from a 'Td5' Disco to my '96 '300tdi' and would now like to fit the larger indicators and different style grille.
Searched the newsgroups and can't find anything on the this subject...anyone know.

Yes this can be done, Ive done mine and it looks a hell of a lot better!
The cavities that the indicators go into have to be spot on, ie take your time on measuring and cutting. Find your rough outline then come in towards the unit about half an inch then drill a series of 3mm holes in a vertical line to produce the rough shape. Then you have to just file very softly and slowley (as not to crack the paint). Keep checking by offering up the unit to your hole. You will have to cut the lower trim above the bumper down and bend it to the same radii as the lens. Only problem Ive had is replacing the bulb, cos its right behind the inner wing plastic guard trim thingy. Also wire the side marker for extra enjoyment. Get some proper black high molecular silicone and determine your bead run to cover between the edge of the wing and the lip of the lens where it meets the wing. Mine took me just under a day to complete one side, lets face it, once youve started to drill and cut the wing, your commited to finishing - then you have to do the otherside cos it wont match! Quite a delicate challenge. I also fitted TD5 bonnet washer jets (much better at speed!) also wiper arms and wiper blades and the side repeaters, along with the TD5 headlamps (with that black sourrond behind the glass).
Take your time and keep checking your work.
