Half hour job my foot

Hi all,

Got my new rear air springs from Brookwells this morning, with the aim of fitting them before I drive up to Leeds this afternoon. Nyahahahahaha...

half an hour to do the job. It's been an hour so far and I've notactually achieved anything at all, apart from to bend the retaining clips. How do you get the flaming clips out? I've tried pushing (with a hammer and screwdriver) and pulling (with pliers) but both actions seem more intent on bending the clip than actually moving it at all.

And once I've got the bottom clips out, how on earth do I get to the top part of the spring without taking the wheel arch liner out? I can't even

*see* the top of the spring, let alone do anything with it.

If anybody can shed any light, I'd be very grateful, but I think I'll be driving to Leeds on the old springs at this rate.

Thanks, David.

Just spent two minutes watching a guy cutting a piece of steel with an angle grinder without safety glasses, listening to bad music.

I'm an idiot

The message from Peter R. contains these words:

Still doesn't beat the bloke over my back wall. He was leaning over the wall loping off tree branches with an electric chainsaw, no safety gear at all - and it was raining!!!!!!!!!!

I later heard he was off work with a bad back.
