It lives!!

Today, nice morning, thought I'd have another shot at getting the 110 V8 running. Start from basics, wind engine round by hand to TDC on 1... ah. Plug leads exactly 180 degrees out on distributor. That would account for the lack of go...

put leads in suitable places. turned it over and it started, running rather erratic. Connected up various missing water hoses and filled the cooling system. Restarted, and let it idle a bit, that's odd, funny noise...noted oil pissing out, switched off hastily and reconnected oil gauge pipe. Put about 6l of oil into it and the gods must be watching over me today 'cos the oil pressure came back up when I restarted it.

pulled onto the yard at idle in low-1, blew up flat rear tyre (tyres are scrap anyway, so no problem rolling it around flat), reversed it back.

It's got suitable oil pressure, temp reads OK on the dial, and considering it's just got an open air intake and no air cleaner it runs pretty sweet, full marks for the OMVL E90 for being able to cope with that as well.

So, the project moves a step nearer - and anyone wanting 110 CSW body parts is welcome to come and take bits off, for a suitable contribution to the beer^H^H^H^H project funds.
