Message Warning @ P38A - 95 4.6 HSE

Dear all, Today, when I drive my 95 RR (4.6 HSE) on the highway, the Message Centre shown "ALTERNATOR FAULT" and the Warning light of "Battery" logo also shown in Red. Then I stop the car and check, but is still showing on the Message Centre when turn on the starter switch again.

Then I use a Volt-Meter for check, the Battery about 12.33V while all in off position, and when start the Eng. is drop to 12.1V , and then check the Alternator, at the End-Cap is 11.79 V, so I guess the output form the Alternator is not health.

Is it a popular problem for LR ? and what's the next step ? exchange the Alternator ? But I always think that, the Life time for the Alternator is not like so poor.

Many Thanks for your kindly !

Best Regards, FOX
