For one or two trials bikes? Not paying silly money, no need to be braked or have any electrics as I'm towing with the P38 so I can't see any reason for any of that? The KTM is about
160kg & my mates bike about 145kg.
Could even be a single bike trailer if it makes any difference.

I'd have to price up the bits. what weight and length is the bike?
You're doubtless correct in the assumption that it won't need brakes, and that makes it considerably cheaper. You can go to 750Kg gross for the trailer behind a P38 without brakes. It still needs red triangles and may need lights - probably best to put number plate and lights on anyway, just so as to deflect the attention of dibbles with nothing better to do. Either that or a trailer board.
Indeed, but I wouldn't like to eat 1360kg one, thats one large cheese.
I've been running a Caravan chassis flat bed without problem for a good few years. Fetched Tractor tyres and wheels for the fergie. Jag engine and box for Percy, 2x 2.6 lumps for JLO from Newcastle (400 mile round trip), 2 x V8's and Autos from London (260mile trip) and moved us a stack of stuff when we moved house, LWB Safari roof now shortened and fitted on Percy, I think it's worth it's weight in gold IMHO and that only the trips I can recall. Trailer £10 New tyre (Commerical trailer, not a car one!) Light board. Boarding and checker plate £60 Hooks
Was great fun knocking the old van body off with a Hymac.
Dad has a 1960's Caravan trailer which is probably heavier in it's self many modern caravans and their chassis together.
I'm in the middle of rebuilding a twin axle 4 by six jobbie now which is very over engineered, between Study, axle rebuilds and RL.
