Isn't that suspiciously cheap for a Duc? I didn't read much of the desciption but I didn't see any faults. The 999 might have been an "unlucky" bike (what with all the arguments about its styling - I liked it anyway) but five and a half grand?

I have got a faster bike than that now & to be honest, it's not all about speed.

I have had plenty of very fast bikes, including a Hayabusa, which is the fastest of the lot on the road.

I'm a very defensive rider, not a lunatic.

Round here it's the bikers that kill themselves without any help from anyone else, lunatic or not.

Aye, it's the laws of physics, enter a corner too fast or have less grip than one was expecting and drystone walls are not very friendly. I found that out a couple of years ago when I totaled a the old Mondeo.

I bought the Disco to replace it much slower and sedate but still fun, esp on the lanes. I did toy with the idea of one of the Subaru estates but decided I would kill myself in one of those.

Having had a Subaru WRX, you would have to be utterly insane to even get one out of shape Dave.
