Range Rover auto-dipping mirror

When my auto-dipping mirror sprung a leak and all the LCD fell out, instead of buying a P38 one for £160, I bought a Classic one off eBay for a lot less.

The connector on the P38 is (from memory) a 5-pin socket with only 3 of the pins in use. This, therefore, won't fit the connector on the Classic mirror which is 3-pin.

Anybody suggest where I can get a female connector to attach to the car wiring to fit the Classic mirror? My dealer could only come up with a complete wiring loom which cost somewhat more than the mirror.

Thanks, David.

Can you take the connector off the existing mirror and use it on the classic mirror? You can usually (with some experimenting) remove the pins and then solder them onto the wires on the new mirror.

Or, you could look at something like

to see if they have a connector which would replace both male and female parts.

I don't know of ANY good source of vehicle connectors. Does anyone?
