I have just bought and fitted a reckon power steering box. however, there is still some play in the steering wheel. i'm sure the slack is in the box cos when the drop arm moves the wheels move and its not in the steering column. i've tried adjusting the box too, any ideas? adam

Check *all* the joints for signs of play whilst somebody is rocking the steering - especially the drop arm to box - you'll soon find out whether the play is elsewhere in the steering linkage.
What did you fit it to? RR/Disco or series. In any case if you can't take out the free play with the endfloat adjustment then take the steering box back.
