This guy just sold this vehicle on eBay claiming it was a 1999 and when I informed him it appeared to be an earlier model he tells me I'm an idiot. He claims that carfax checks it out as a 99, so it is. Whats up with that???

I wouldn't say you were an idiot, it would have struck me as odd too. It looks like the last of the old bunch. However, there are a few
300Tdis on the road with T or even V/W plates - these will be vehicles which spent an extra year somewhere in a field in Solihull, or elsewhere in the system, before somebody remembered to register and sell them.
I saw a W plated 300Tdi in Surrey a few months back. It did make me double-take. I think this makes me very sad.
