Temp / running on / vapourlock (SIII 2.25 Petrol)

Steve.

FIx the exhaust..My guess is the extra heat may be the source of your problem.

Hi,

My Landy seems to be running on after the ignition is switched off, she also gets a nasty case of vapourlock if I stop after driving for more than 1/2 hour in anything over 25C ambient. Manualy priming the fuel pump has her running again directly.

Temp guage reads normal, has been tested (the guage not the sender unit, yet at any rate) and the thermostat has been recently replaced. The firewall gets kinda hot but I can put that down to the exhaust leak blowing on the other side :-) which I am getting around to fixing.

Is vapourlock a common problem with this motor or is mine running hot? (no other symptoms as she pulls well and has never overheated on me)

Any suggestions for something to wrap around the fuel line?

Cheers.

Steve.
