Would you like to swap a Landie for an Alfa?

I don't quite know how this has happened, but I seem to be the proud? owner of an Alfa Romeo 164 2.0l Twin Spark Lusso. Leather and alloys, lowered suspension kit. Grey paint, no rust, sunroof, 5sp manual. Its not in the 1st flush of youth, being a 1992, but it has just passed its MOT and runs well. It has a mildly interesting number plate (if you happen to be called Marvin Lionel Postlethwaite or any other name with MLP intials. The Prefix being J and the numbers 63).

2 Owners from new, all previous MOTs agree with mileage of 87757. Location: Bedford

I dont want it, after all it is Italian and front wheel drive. I suppose it may be an interesing drive for some, being quite quick, but compared to SWMBO's Mazda RX8 or my Honda ST1100, it doesnt excite me.

So would anyone like to swap this Italian Stallion 4 door sports saloon for an old Landie?

I'm not really fussed about the condition of any LR, but it must have a long MOT and be road legal. Preference is for an 88" air portable with a V8 but I'm not that hopeful.

Hmmm.......

Did I just see 'alfa romeo' and 'no rust' in the same sentence?

SimonJ blabbed to everyone:

Nope. You didn't. The nearest they got were 2 sentences away from each other. :-)

Not quite. The body is fine, galvanised see?

The bits they bolt on are rusty, but only surface.
