WTB: 101 Fluid Resevoir lids

Can anyone recommend a source where I can buy the two lids for the brake & clutch resevoir? Mine have crumbled away from the exposure to UV because they are in direct sunlight behind the screen. The parts book lists the whole resevoir as 1 part, are these available cheap somewhere as an alternative? Thanks, Fergus

These are fairly standard parts and should be available from any landie factor. Alternatively, the 101 Club spares bod will almost certainly have them - cheaper :-)

If you get hold of any can you please tell me where from. Have tried everywhere and so far everyone has said I need to buy the pots too. Would be very grateful.

They are listed in the six stud club parts. I got 2 along with summat else less memorable that I've now forgotten....

But I'm told they are SIII lids so if you find a SIII they should be good ones as they will have been under a bonnet

You have to get through to him first though! I've been trying all week!. Whens the best time to get him?, or will he ring you back if you leave him a message on the answering machine?

I know it can be a PITA, but please be patient. Darren has one of the shittiest jobs in the club IMO and is currently doing 40 odd orders a month. He works some quite frightful shifts and tends to batch process spares orders whenever he gets an hour or so free. Tis one of the drawbacks of having a club run on a voluntary basis I'm afraid. I did actually think about proposing a raise in subs to 750 a year so we could all retire and play with 101s... ;-)

Just leafed through six stud and can't see them. Will ring Darren all the same though. Didn't realise they were the same as a siii else i might have had more luck. Thanks

LOL

I'd be interested to see how they turned out. Sounds like quite a cool idea to me!

I wasnt really complaining :). I'm glad there is a 101 club shop at all! (Ive just spent days chasing up a bit for an old saab...) Does he get paid anything for his time or is he a volunteer?

He needs a web page with online ordering. that would be much easier for the both of us! (I'd volunteer some time if i had some!)

There might be a market for these fancy lids! You fancy making a batch up? :)

That sounds like a very good idea, I'd vote for that. I can never find time in sociable hours to phone him, a website would solve the problem.

Well I popped out the back to the ambi to get a sample - bugger me the thing crumbled to dust - well one lid did, and one body.

The screw thread is a nice chunky standard thread, so I can screw cut them easily. I'll get some stock in and get cracking.

Since I now need bodies as well, is anyone interested in them too ?

I could put a pressure tap on them for those of us who have to bleed 101 brakes.
