1998 Lexus ES300 - getting to turn signal bulb

My left turn signal is flashing twice as fast as my right one. For half a day, it went back to normal but now it's flashing fast again. Either the front left bulb is out (it's flashing but not as bright ... can't tell if this is due to it flashing so fast or not) or possibly the contact is bad. Apparently a bunch of posts on the 1998 Camry on this same problem indicates bad contacts. The fact that my signal went back to normal briefly also indicates that it could be the contact problem.

My problem is now do I get to the bulb/contact? Can anybody give me some simple step by step directions? My Lexus manual says if any bulb is out to bring it back to the dealer. Thanks in advance!

Got the answer through clublexus forums. One screw below black plastic cover above turn signal housing in the engine bay needs to be removed. Then, slide out the whole turn signal housing foward (will take some force). The fast blinking is due to bad contact with the bulb ... taking out the bulb, stretching the contacts, and putting it back in fixed the problem.

Thanks for the pointer to the service bulletin. That would've been my backup plan as it was more convenient for me to find the solution myself than to take the time to bring it into a dealership and convince them to do it for free in some timely fashion.
