considering '93 ES300

Considering the purchase of a 93 ES300 from the local mb dealership, but wanted to get opinion of the group first. sticking point for me is the insturment cluster was replaced about 60k miles ago to the tune of $500 or so. There have been various other repairs (CV boots = most extensive) but nothing that seemed earthshaking to me. the dealer wants $7k. What does the group think?

TIA

I have a 1992 ES300 with 232,500 miles that still looks and runs very well, so I reccomend the 93. I also had the instrument cluster replaced for about $600 (at Lexus), so it's good to get that repair out of the way. And my CV boot also needed replacement, but you're ok on at least one of them. I needed a radiator, power antenna, CD changer repair, and brakes, at various times. But Toyota/Lexus makes great vehicles. Only negative can be high cost for parts. $7,000 seems a tad high, but of course MB doesn't want a rep of low priced used cars. Offer them $5,500 and go from there. Look on
