LS4oo in the snow?

Hello,

I live in Colorado and am considering the LS4oo for purchase. I am most concerned about the snow performance. The particular auto I am looking at does have traction control.

Could anyone with LS4oo in inclement weather conditions give me an idea of what I could expect?

Many thanks in advance...

I have an LS400 and live about 10 hours east from you. This car has the best traction control I've ever seen. However, that does not mean it will do as well as a FWD in snow. To compensate I put on ice tires in the winter. I was very pleased with the car when I put Blizzaks on for snow and ice driving.

Snow tires should be considered pretty much mandatory. It is MUCH better than the SC400 which is just about useless in the snow( there is ABSOLUTELY NO way you can live with the SC400 without snow tires - unless you don't drive in the snow), but after driving FWD cars for the previous 20 years, it takes some time to get use to... count on it.

I live in mid-Michigan and have an LS400 with traction control. It does fine on snow as long as you have at least good M+S rated tires mounted. With summer tires, it sucks on snow.
