recommend nice bluetooth speaker phone for 1997 ES300?

In California hands-free cell phones are now required for the driver.

My wife won't wear a headset so I'm looking for recommendations for a speaker phone thing, e.g., for the visor -- or whatever. I'm open to suggestion and don't really have any ideas.

Thanks.

Many, if not most, cell phones have a built-in speaker phone function, you might want to try that first.

Motorola makes several bluetooth car kits:

You can probably find bluetooth car kits at electronics stores like Best Buy, Radio Shack, Frye's, Tiger Direct, etc.

Costco has one from Jabra. Seems to work fine for me. $60.

..uh Camrys have bluetooth capability as well. It's an option that usually comes with the navigation package.

Having said that, ignore any recommendations for FM modulated aftermarket transmitters.

The old aftermarket bluetooth via FM speakers is pretty much dead.

Motorola, along with many others, now sell a self contained unit that mounts to the visor, is rechargeable and has a built in speaker.

The old FM units were unreliable, were subject to interference from local stations and much less secure.

The Blueant Supertooth 3 is the way to go.
