SC430 Tire sensor and non-run flats

The Lexus dealer where I have purchased my final set of run-flat tires is trying to scare me by suggesting that only they can mount new tires to my rims because of the pressure sensors! Can reputable tire dealers mount tires of my choice and still keep the sensing system in proper working order? (I will be going to high performance NON run flat tires) Thanks

it definitely can be done, but the real question is 'will they?'. let me tell you, those runflat tires are such a bi4ch to mount compared to ANY other tire i've ever messed with. then there's the possibility of damaging those precious little sensors during the whole process. (mucho dinero)

i'm sure it can be done. but would i trust an aftermarket shop to do it? you know, you could always go to tirerack.com and just order whatever tires you want and have your lexus dealer mount them. we do that all the time.
