Whenever I start the engine, some motor sound comes from the engine compartment

Well, I've owned a 06 ES for 10 days. So, forgive my lack of knowledge:-) Whenever I start the engine, some motor sound comes from the engine compartment. It sounds exactly the same as the sound that I hear when I change driver seat adjustment memory (1 = wifey, 2 = me). Is it normal?

There are a couple of possibilities:

You may be hearing the ABS actuator doing the self test or if you have the air suspension, you may be hearing the compressor.
