2000 1.3 Toyota Corolla electric window problem

The electric window on the drivers side of my daughter's car has stopped working. I've extracted the motor and controller and when I supply power directly to the motor connections, it seems to work fine. Of course there are a bunch of other connections to the motor that I haven't tested as I wouldn't know where to begin.

It's not easy to work out which is the right fuse but from the Haynes manual it looks like there's only one fuse and one relay supplying both windows. Not sure how that works. All the fuses that I've pulled so far look fine. Does anyone know if there should be two fuses and two relays, and if so, where they might be?

I plan to try plugging the window motor into the passenger side when I get a chance to see if it's just the wiring or switch. Any other suggestions for fault diagnosis? I have a basic multimeter and hope to be able to test all the switches later too.

Start with the loom to the door where it flexes.
