95 Scorpio Cosworth Ultima - windows, doors, electrics + remote + alarm

Here are a few of my electrical problems on my week old Cosworth '95 (LHD) I hope you may be able to recognise some of them and be of help.

On the drivers side door, 3 window switches work but the one for the passenger door window. How to fix?

Drivers window goes down-up only while switch is held. Is that normal behaviour?

Or should it have one-touch?

Passenger door window switch works; window going up and down while switch is held. Is that normal behaviour? Or should it have one-touch?

Rear windows both go down in one-touch; up only while switch is held. Is that normal behaviour?

Remote control does not work, nor for doors, nor for the boot, nor for alarm. Batteries new. Where is the receiver? Can I test this?

When driver door/or passenger door is locked using key, all 4 doors double-lock, alarm light comes on, and after 5 secs some windows close (when open)

When driver door/passenger door is un-locked using key, all 4 doors un-lock, after 5 secs rear windows open (when closed).

I understand alarm, locking and windows is controlled just by 2 wires and by the CCM, correct? So would regular voltage & wire testing work, or not?

Can I do any checks, tests e.g. replace switches to localise and fix the problems?

I have not yet reset the EEC-V by disconnecting the battery; would that be of any help?

Curious, Maria

PS My earlier Cosworth was a '98; this one '95 may be different

change the switch (after testing it doesn't work by plugging it into another socket in the same bank, if they are in a big block you might need to change the block)

yes

possibly, but then there would be a relay somewhere thats not working

read above answer

again, suspect the relay that controls everything (or the switches themselves are at fault)

did you have it recoded to the car for the car to recognize the new fob? (after you replaced the batteries?)

thats fine

comfort unlocking? total colosure on an alarm perhaps?

you may need to reset everythng else they are a bit more complicated than the early eec 4 versions as this has eec5 and built in pats (passive anti theft system) and it takes all sorts to sort out if you do somethng you ain't supposed to
