Doesn't seem a very high wage considering the location and hours...

Try adding 40% to the salary and you *may* actually get a decent response.

21K! right!

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold. I remember snipped-for-privacy@centurenet.com saying something like:

That's s**te.

its the motor trade, its going to be s**te ! gotta say though its amazing the perception customers have of vehicle mechanics, they see the garage getting £38 an hour, that's our labour rate down south & they think the mechanics get most of that, if only !

FUCK THAT. I earn MORE in East Yorkshire driving lorries. Fuck sake. Back in 1991 I was earning 3/4 of that as an Auto Electrician in Hull.

It's not. Probably why they're trying on here to get some candidates.

I take home more than that, plus the company vehicle and 5 weeks holiday

mind you, I don't think I'd want to work in that location, you'd never be able to get onto the property ladder at that wage there :)

That's a nonsense. Most couldn't concentrate properly for those hours.

IMHO, the maximum - exclusive of meals - in any one day should be 10 hours.
