After seeing the Aviva advert I downloaded the Iphone app. For anyone who doesn't know this 'tests' your driving to see if you qualify for an insurance discount due to your safe driving.
I used the app and when I stopped the car was told how good my braking was. Second time out it told me I was a 'master with the brakes'. Third time it told me how well I cornered.
Next the missus used the app with similar results. Fair enough we both drive fairly carefully.
For want of something to do I used the app while a passenger in a couple of noteable lunatic drivers, harsh braking which nearly made the car stand on two wheels when cornering, way over the speed limit etc. Guess what? The app applauded both drivers 'skills'.
I have an idea that no matter who is driving this app will say that the driver is excellent even though they could be the most piss poor driver going just to get them to call Aviva for a quote as a 'safe driver'.
Am I far off?
