Camshaft options for rover v8

So the rattle turned out not to be loose spring tension, but a knackered
camshaft, apparently by having old (dished) followers used with a new
camshaft. Several of the lobes are damaged.
Can anyone recommend one, suitable for smooth road use and not requiring
a vernier gear? I'm after as straightforward (i.e. less time consuming)
an installation as possible :-> It's going in a 3.5 litre, fitted in a
TR7, with a holley carb, if that makes any odds.
Cheers,
