Update to my last post...felt the pipes going into the heater matrix through the bulkhead,,,one side is very hot but other is cold..does this mean that the matrix could be blocked or airlocked ..if so which one is most likely
Blocked.
Pull off both pipes and run water through from the side that was hot. If it comes through OK, it's probably been airlocked. If not, either the matrix is blocked or the valve that controls the flow isn't operating properly for whatever reason.
