My car is 05 Plate Vauxhall Astra Estate Diesel 1.7CDTI How do you lock the car with the key for example if the remote fob fails on you? , When i lock the drivers door with the Key it only locks the Drivers door everything is still unlocked and have just tried this on a 56 Plate Astra from Vauxhall dealer and it does the same Cheers Graham
I would expect it lock the doors on the first turn but it does have deadlocks.
Try turning it a second time and it should deadlock the car and lock the boot and petrol flap.
If everything is not locked then you have a problem.
No it just locks the drivers door , just wondererd why the new astra from showroom also locked in the same way as mine. Even the Guys at Vauxhall looked baffled.
Dunno. But since the remote probably sets the immobiliser it could be they don't want to encourage just locking the doors.
