I'm installing an LPG kit in an old Citroen AX I need to join into the wiring to draw up to 5 amps which is live when the ignition is switched on.
Can anyone point me in the right direction for a good place to do this?
Thanks

The question is why??? on old AX is worth virtually nothing, and they get good mpg anyway because they are so light, did you get the kit for free?
I'm moving the kit I had in a proton which has just expired into the citroen so it only required a few extract components to match it up.
Just run a set of heavy leads from the battery?

Good God, you're keen!

What an unfortunate choice of words!

He only wants it live when the ignition's on. Personally I'd scrounge a relay off the dump and feed it from the battery controlled by the ignition.
Educate me if you will.
5A @12V = 60W,no? So what is it about a LPG kit that needs that much?Steve
A record breaker in its time .... during the 80s the ax was the most economical car, in the guiness book of records as well.
Mind you, there is no better fun than an ax that can keep up with a new 2 litre astra turbo. Waste golfs, celicas, mondeo st24s, my pair of bmws, etc.
They are the best car to throw big horsepower at.
Thats why i bought one 2 years ago and did just that.
(Whynot fill the lpg tank with nos???)
