citroen C5 warning light

Hi The warning light shaped like the engine has lit up whilst driving home tonight on my C5. According to the manual it is the antipollution warning light, or, there is a fault with either the fuel injection or the ignition. The car does minutely stutter a bit when driving at 30mph in 4th gear but apart from that there doesn't appear to be anything wrong. Has anyone got any ideas what it could be as the book only says consult your citroen dealer. Thanks in advance Petetop

if it has had the correct servicing and you use good fuel, then you should get the codes read.

You need to get the codes read with a diagnostic tool. It could be many things, very hard to make a sensible diagnosis without the fault code readout.

The stutter may or may not be anything: some VAG PD 130 Euro IV engines are known for it.
