My Bro-in-law has a 1996 Citroen Synergie 2.0 LX (petrol) which he says is running very poor. Before I take a look I was wondering if it is possible to pull any stored fault codes on this model or does it need to be hooked up to specialist equipment. I've had a look at Autodata CD and it gives the procedure to manually access any stored codes using the homemade flash LED method but looking around the net I see there are 2 types of DLC on the Synergie, one with a 30 pin (which is the one described on Autodata) and also a 16 pin. Anyone know if the 1996 Synergie codes can be read using the LED method?
