Citroen Xsara up to 2001 and later then 2001

Is there much difference between these two or there are just cosmetic changes? How applicable would be the "old Xsara" Haynes manual to a newer (2002) model - totaly/mostly/partialy?

For a start, the facelifted car gained multiplexed wiring, so the electrical section would be utterly useless.

The petrol engines would be the same, but the 1.9D/TD was swapped for the HDi about the same time, too.

It's a petrol engine. Except for the electrics, any other changes? Probably nothing special about suspension/steering?

Probably nothing too major.

Ah, but he multiplexed wiring is simpler; that's the whole point of it.

What the French will balls up is the software controlling it!
